Does John 2:19-20 help or hurt the doctrine of the physical resurrection?

First of all, do know that John was the last of the Gospels to be written, nearly a century after the death of Jesus. Matthew, Mark, and Luke, however, were likely compiled from first person source material and are considered more historically accurate.
